Tenancy Agreement

A tenancy agreement is a contract between a tenant and a landlord for the tenant's occupation of the landlord's property. The agreement gives certain rights to both parties, and it is made up of express terms (what is written in the tenancy agreement, in the rent book and/or what was agreed orally) and implied terms (rights given by law or arrangements established by custom and practice).

The agreement must be in plain language, which is clear and easy to understand and  which does not contain any terms that could be deemed as ‘unfair’.
