Registered land

When details of ownership are recorded at the Land Registry, the land is officially registered.

These days, most land is registered, but this is not always the case especially if it is a long time since the property in question changed ownership (around 25% of British land has no registered owner at the Land Registry).

If the land is not registered, then your conveyancer will need to undertake some additional checks before going ahead with your purchase. Eager to get going with your move and need a highly-recommended solicitor? Contact In-Deed on 0800 038 6886 now; we're open 7 days a week.
