Leasehold supplement

Leasehold purchases are often more complex and, therefore, In-Deed’s Leasehold Fee (which is £150 on a purchase, £125 on a sale) is a fixed supplement to cover all the additional work associated with a leasehold property. This includes investigating the lease, liaising with the landlord, obtaining up-to-date rent receipts, landlord’s consents, management company’s accounts, etc.

Furthermore, the landlord (also known as the freeholder) may impose a fee for the transfer of ownership of the lease. Landlords' approaches to this do vary and, while some will do it for free or very little, others may make a significant charge.

Although at In-Deed we gurantee our legal costs will not change, we cannot control this particular third-party cost (or disbursement). As soon as your landlord lets us know what these costs will be for your specific leasehold purchase, we will let you know so that you are always in control of your legal bill.
