Epitome of Title

Where a property is unregistered, the Epitome of Title is a bundle of documents that has been pulled together to prove the current legal possessor’s ownership of the title.

This is needed so that the seller can prove they have the right to sell the property, should they wish to, as well as to show anything that affects it, such as any rights or easements that might exist against it.

This situation is becoming increasingly rarer as, for a number of years now, it has been compulsory to register the title with the Land Registry every time it is sold.

In-Deed has a broad experience of a number of different situations in the sale of property, including the need for the epitome of sale. Do you need In-Deed's solicitors' skills in selling your property or land? Why not call us now on 0800 038 6886 to discuss your needs and plans further.
