Disbursements are third party costs that your lawyer must pay to other companies or other organisations on your behalf.

These include searches, fees for Land Registry, money transfer costs and stamp duty. The Land Registry Tax and Stamp Duty are calculated according to the value of the property, the others are fixed.

The one area where it is not always possible to be certain on the third party costs is on a leasehold sale or purchase and these are not covered by our Price Promise.

This is because there is no standard charge levied by landlords (i.e. the owners of the freehold) when it comes to the transaction. An In-Deed lawyer will work with you to minimise these costs and let you know what they are.
