Conveyancing is the legal side of buying and selling a property and involves the transfer of legal title of property from one person to another.  It is carried out by a solicitor or a licensed conveyancer and can be conducted by one individual or a team.

When purchasing a property your lawyer will be responsible for third party disbursements which include searches, fees payable for HM Land Registry, money transfer costs and stamp duty. Ultimately your lawyer gets you from one end of the conveyancing process to the other and is integral to you actually moving in and/or out!
