Acting for the lender

This phrase simply refers to the solicitors (lawyers) who are speaking on behalf of the mortgage provider or lender in any transaction, whether a sale or purchase.

Some lenders will only allow certain legal firms to act for them on a purchase. In-Deed only works with lawyers that are approved by the major UK mortgage providers.

If you have a mortgage or are getting a mortgage a small additional fee will be applicable to cover the extra work undertaken by your lawyer.
