Tree preservation order

A Tree Preservation Order (TPO) is made by the Local Planning Authority in order to protect specific tress in a particular area from deliberate damage and destruction. TPOs can prevent the felling, lopping, topping or uprooting of trees without the permission of the Local Planning Authority, although different TPOs offer different degrees of protection.

A Local Authority Search will discover whether there is a TPO issued for the property and land you are purchasing. The cost is included in your In-Deed quote.
